The Henry David Thoreau Foundation was founded in 1998 by
George M. Galvin and John W. Hoffman. The foundation is governed by a four-member Board of Trustees and has a four-member Scholarship Selection Committee. Our team offers broad experience in environmental science, public health, business, and university administration.
